Marilyn Barfield November 18, 2014

Marilyn Joan Barfield age 82 of Princeton, went to be with her Lord, on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, while surrounded by her family. She was born in Omaha, NE on August 6, 1932 to Glen and Blanche (Lamb) Plowman. On November 15, 1952, she was married to Melvin Barfield who survives.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that not only loved her family but also loved the Gospel. She was a home maker that sacrificially gave for her family.
She is also survived by sons; Michael (Rhonda) Barfield of St. Charles, MO, Steven (Anna) Barfield of Germany, Brad (Rhonda) Barfield of Winchester, KY and Eric (Kathy) Barfield of Columbia, S.C.
Also daughters; Jane (George) Ferguson of New Bern, N.C., Joan (Marty) Alden of Princeton, IN and Diane (Gene) Houston of Marion, N.C.
Other survivors include brothers; Richard Plowman of Waco, TX, Dale (Marilyn) Plowman of Omaha, NE, Gale (Juliet) Plowman of Sioux City, IA Ray (Carolyn) Plowman of Oskaloosa, IA and sisters; Yvonne Reeves, Ruth Brown, Barbara (John) Schulteiss of Anna, IL, Nancy Veldheizen of Oskaloosa, IA, Kathy Plowman of Nebraska and Linda (Claire) Thoreson of Sioux City, IA, 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
There was a memorial service and celebration of life that took place on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Bethel Memorial Church with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating.     Being friends with Steve on Facebook because my sister Thera is has brought me to remember the Barfield’s
    Brad you were in our class for a short time. How long did you all live on the Troymills road?
    I remember the twins and also was Bobby and Diane in the same class?
    I remember our parents getting together for Bible studies and boy did us kids have fun playing.
    Sorry for your loss of Mom. My folks are doing well Bob Trumbull 86 Ellad 83 still live in Coggon.
    We lost our brother Ray age 42 of stomach cancer 7 yrs. ago. That was a tough one for all of us.
