Jerry Robert Sullivan, 78, of Petersburg, IN, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the Golden Living Center located in Petersburg, IN. He was born in rural Pike County, IN on Sunday, August 1, 1943 to Robert Arthur and Blanche White Sullivan, both of whom precede. Jerry was a lifelong Pike County resident. He started out farming alongside his dad, Robert, and brother, Steve. He retired after 29 years as an Operating Engineer out of Local 181 in Evansville, IN. After retiring, Jerry went on to do odd jobs around the Petersburg area with concrete work. He attended the Petersburg Church of God.
Jerry is survived by 3 sons, Todd Sullivan of Petersburg, IN; Scott (Becky) Sullivan, also of Petersburg, IN; and Jay (Tina) Sullivan of Lynnville, IN; and 2 sisters, Faith Livermore of Princeton, IN, and Phyllis Gootee of Indianapolis, IN. Other survivors include 7 grandchildren: Dean, Taryn, Charlee, Gracee, Lillee, Cameron and Hunter, along with 3 great grandchildren: Wade Sullivan and Addilyn and Wrenley Willis. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Steven Arthur Sullivan.
Funeral Services will be at 12:00 noon (CST) on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Doyle Funeral Home, located at 520 S. Main Street in Princeton, IN 47670 with John B. Davidson officiating.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10:00 am (CST) until time of service at noon. Internment will take place in Shiloh Cemetery in rural Hazleton.
