Curtis Wesley Rodgers June 17, 1941 – December 15, 2016

Curtis Wesley Rodgers, age 75, of Patoka passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at his residence. He was born on Tuesday, June 17, 1941 in Chicken Gizzard Ridge, KY to William and Della May (Johnson) Rodgers.
Curtis was a retired carpenter that enjoyed playing both his banjo and his guitar.
In December of 1995, in Apache Junction AZ, he married Joyce Lee (Simmons).
Curtis is survived his wife Joyce of Patoka, IN and son Michael (Melissa) Rodgers of Gallatin, TN along with step sons Alan (Suzette) Stackhouse and Michael (Kristy) Stackhouse, both of Princeton, IN.
Other survivors include daughters Kelly (Gill) Sanders of Allendale, IL and Christy Brown of Lancaster, IL as well as 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Patty Capps along and brothers Arless Rodgers and Chet Rodgers.
Also preceding are sisters Hazel Byrns and Janice Rodgers.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St in Princeton, IN.
There are no services planned and cremation will take place after the visitation with burial of ashes to take place at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery of Patoka.
The family suggests memorial be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
